One of my favorite things to watch is undersea videos, and my all time favorite has to be Jewels of the Caribbean Sea by National Geographic. I used to put it on, turn off the sound, and play The Blue Room by The Orb... to me, that *was* The Blue Room. Just being under the water with all these amazing creatures.
I'd been writing the music for this with a working title of "trickle" due to my idea of a theme of water this year, but I knew it needed a sample. The sample used is the first seven minutes of the video, no time stretching, no sampling, no edits.
I'm now planning to do an entire soundtrack to this mindblowing hour of visuals.
FWIW, I didn't actually watch this while I sequenced, but I have an idea that some of the music must synch up pretty well 😉
If you're so inclined, you can synch this up with the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nitdl...
