So I went shopping and I asked the lady what the big bag of salt crystals was for... and she said it's to keep the rats away but luckily she only has small ones...
and I was still planning to write a song about the gap people: babies born but never registered- so they can't go to school until they have their own children and can't register their own children...
and then i ran into the guy who was supposed to be charge in small business development(employment creation) in town and he is getting replaced and he complains about unemployed people crowding the streets at one particular business- best they don't come and stand in front of his door(which I am suggesting he names the "Employment Centre")
and I have a friend who I name #TheShackBuilder (you can check out an episode of #StoriesOfHope): he is a psychologist who started rebuilding shacks because the people are so afraid of the BIG RATS.
So who is the rats exactly?
Think God is telling me something but charity does not pay the bills neither does music(unless I become an overnight success!) Jesus said it: we will always have the poor with us: and good people empty the ocean with their ladle of good deeds.
Give me a certificate
Give me a family
Give me a number
Learn to speak love:
In a road with no name
In a town with no game
In a building with no doors
I learned dust goes where dirt is
And there’s rats
But the salt keeps them away
Luckily it is only the small ones we have
Until the crystals melt away in the rain
Then we just put down salt again
And there’s unemployed
But the fence keeps them away
Luckily he is leaving his position
Somebody else is taking over now
But they don’t know who they are going to get yet.
And I don’t know who I am
But we are lucky the problems we have
Is just small ones
Hey, Mr Shackbuilder
Builder of dreams
It’s dem rats that make you scream
Living in these gaps- it seems-
There’s no harm in that
