Another one take improvisation with my eurorack modular synth. Please feel no obligation to listen to these if they're not your bag - there are still plenty of conventional Dan tunes I've posted this year!
I got the original idea for this from thinking about how I could fulfil this week's challenge with the modular (instrumental hook). This one (like 'Go Hang') is based around the Morphagene (a tape and microsound module). The sample is from the start of Leoš Janáček's 'Sinfonietta' (which is a fantastic piece of music). I'd probably never had heard it was it not referenced in Murakami's 1Q84 novel (the one with the alternative reality which has a second moon!).
For fellow eurorack nerds: The clock is being generated by the Morphagene's EOSG (end of splice gate). This is feeding into both a Doepfer clock divider (which is triggering the drums) and MI Marbles which is providing some random voltage to add some variation on the Morphagene.
