Reaper crashed on me and autosave was no longer enabled for whatever reason, so I just lost about 2 hours of edits. Walking away and moving on to the next. Will update at some point with a demo of some kind which will never be as good as what I had. 😏
This song started as a guitar noodle into my iPad. Grew exponentially from there. I seem to have one track every once in a while with a ridiculous amount of guitars in it. This is that track. Or will be, if I ever get back to editing it.
Update: Track resurrected. Much too much time spent on it.
Regarding the words, they're deliberately awkward, sort of a musing/struggle on searching for the right, inoffensive, yet still descriptive words for gender presentation, possible sexuality, etc. Thinky stuff, but not too serious.
Also realized this could be an 'Instrumental Hook' track, but it's way out of order to claim a Week 4 challenge when I haven't done Weeks 2 or 3 yet. So be it.
It seemed to be training day at the local coffee chain.
There were like 8 people behind the counter.
I clocked a couple of them.
One was a cherub-like male-presenting person with cute rosy cheeks, a perfect part, and thick-rimmed glasses.
Another was a tall, presumably woman-like person.
She had frosted white pixie hair, a white pants and oxford shirt, a tiny rainbow tattoo behind her ear,
and a ridiculously out-of-season white straw fedora
Which somehow worked for her and her fiercely-shaded cheekbones.
I very much wanted to tell her she made me smile. I would have had to tell her, because she never looked over. But didn't, because I'm not creepy.
Well, not THAT creepy.
