I got a deck of blank Tarot cards some 20 years ago. ("The Inspiration Tarot" by Patti Provo) I decided to improvise a song for each blank card. The goal is to pull a vector art shape from the song and use that for the card.
I looked at blank cards and sang them songs.
This is one of 100 songs I sang over two days.
These are very rough, as it was less about the song than about the process. The normal Tarot is 78 cards, but I'm working with an expanded Tarot of 105 cards where there are five suits named directly after their elements, there's a zero of every suit (bumping suit size to 15 cards) and the Major Arcana was bumped up to 30 cards.
In addition to the simple vector-style art for the blank cards, I needed a key meaning for the card so I could reasonably compare it with other Tarot resources.
Key Shape: Fat Sun
Key Meaning: Bright and Cheery
The Sun shines in the sky!
Bringing light and warmth to us all!
On the summer days, oh my!
The heat can really get to us all.
And even in the winter time
the Sun brings light and warmth!
The Sun is everyday, the same in the sky.
Doing jobs that we all need, oh yes! Oh my!
The sun! The Sun! Helps everyone equally!
The sun! The Sun! Has no favorites!
And what do you think of that lovely sunshine
bringing life, oh yes life! to the Earth.
Wonderful warmth and wonderful light
and sometimes directly electricity, oh my!
The Sun is super powerful!
The Sun is really swell.
The Sun is there all the time.
Though sometimes clouded, yes, true.
The Sun's still there, even behind
the storm clouds that brew.
The sunshine will appear
and things will become anew!
The warmth and heat will return
and everything grown anew.
The Sun! The Sun!
