I got a deck of blank Tarot cards some 20 years ago. ("The Inspiration Tarot" by Patti Provo) I decided to improvise a song for each blank card. The goal is to pull a vector art shape from the song and use that for the card.
I looked at blank cards and sang them songs.
This is one of 100 songs I sang over two days.
These are very rough, as it was less about the song than about the process. The normal Tarot is 78 cards, but I'm working with an expanded Tarot of 105 cards where there are five suits named directly after their elements, there's a zero of every suit (bumping suit size to 15 cards) and the Major Arcana was bumped up to 30 cards.
In addition to the simple vector-style art for the blank cards, I needed a key meaning for the card so I could reasonably compare it with other Tarot resources.
Key Shape: Three Phases of the Moon
Key Meaning: Patience through Darkness
Up in the sky.
Yes! The Moon!
Cold and dead and so forlorn.
It might be a cold light above,
but it can be still full of love!
The moon shines at night!
Bringing light to the dark!
The moon it can help us!
Keep us from harm.
The Moon it reminds us!
To please come on home!
The Moon up there in the sky.
Brings waves to the oceans!
My, oh my!
It presents a gravity upon us all.
The moon! The Moon!
The faces of the moon
helps us keep track of time.
The phases of the moon
reminds us, oh my!
Little changes add up to a big whole!
And then darkness, it only lasts so long.
Until the silver light reappears
and soon, yes, the moon will be once more whole.
The moon, it changes.
The moon brings change.
So many changes, it's never the same.
And it's so regular it blends in the background.
The moon it just stays up there.
It's never all around.
But still, then, sometimes, we see special sights.
The light of the moon transformed, oh my!
Atmospheric conditions bring changes to the sight
of that silvery, darling moon.
