"Kan Ya Ma Kan" means "It was or it was not"
It's a common folkloric opening line from the Levant. Like in western fairy tales it's "Once Upon A Time" in Northern Arab countries it's "It Was Or It Was Not" because like, you don't know. who the hell are you?
Anyway, my voice is shredded with congestion, I'm looking forward to taking another crack at this song once I'm healthy.
I was originally thinking of writing this song from the perspective of a couch, but I didn't have the strength. Next time, perhaps.
We don't fall in love with the one who moves the mountain.
We don't fall in love with the one who cracks the sky.
And the grandest designs that we make are to be made by us together.
and you and youse and I will connect and be connected forever
It happened or maybe it didn't,
in memory who's to say?
It happened or maybe it didn't
and it may not have happened that way.
We learn our capacity
by reflecting on our tapestry
depicting all the love that we've shown.
Two hearts. Well, at least two hearts being sewn a little bit together.
The one that you will love is not the one who moves the mountain.
The one that you will love is the one who makes room on their sofa,
so that next to them
you can rest.
