If you leave the forest city of Armon by the eastern gate, the road will take you through a long verdant gallery filled with birdsongs. You may cross paths with watchers on their way back from a patrol, but otherwise you will not see a living soul - apart from foxes, hares and roe deer.
After meandering through the immortal trees for a couple of hours, you will leave the forest behind. You will go down lush vales, up bushy hillocks, then down again. Finally, you will climb a gentle slope and find yourself on a vast plateau. Looking back, you will see the ocean of forests of the Silnis Valley ; ahead, the lovely meadows of the Erenden, strewn with copses and overlooked by a majestic range of hills.
