This is for the #Auntie-Sin challenge: https://fawm.org/forums/topic/8802/
My task was to synthesize these 2 very (very!) different tracks:
The spooky, stalky, talky haunt by @spikedirection https://fawm.org/songs/90779/
and the uplifty, poppy, ear-wormy tune by @seemanski https://fawm.org/songs/92565/
I really didn't know what to do so I tried to combine a little bit of a "choose your own adventure" concept with the idea that those 2 songs were books in a store. Yeah, it worked about as well as that sounds like it would. 😐 Anyway, here's this.
Edit: came back and made the guitar solo-y part not so heinous.
You step from dry sidewalks
Into a crowded room
So many sizes, shapes and colors
Staring back at you
Trail your finger d-d-d-down spines
Waxy, dark, wet, fog and fang
Someone’s just died or dying
But there’s no one here but you
You have one billion seconds
To the left, a dark hallway beckons
Choose Jackson, King or Poe
Which way will you go?
To the right, sturdy blonde oak shelves
In a clean, well-lighted space
Better living living for ourselves
With steamed milk and pumpkin lattes
The rug is a mossy green toupee
Self-actualization, 5 simple steps away
Cliché upon twisted cliché
Whatta you (whatta you) say?
17 million minutes
And half a macchiato to finish
Choose Covey, Robbins or Tolle
Which one screws your head on the right way?
You have 280 thousand hours
And a well-used debit card
You have around 12,000 days
And a few choices that are gonna be hard….
