I'm interested in the idea of fighting for hope, and I think I want to expand on that a bit more. It doesn't come easy in the times when we need it most.
verse 1:
Its been raining days and days
Like the sky has forgotten
How to share the sun's rays
In your presence at a loss
Like my heart has forgotten
How to lift hands in praise
Chorus:
Hope is something you fight for
Oh sing, my soul, of hope
Verse 2:
In the face of brokenness
When the night is the darkest
I can sing, you are good
Here with you now face to face
What else could I respond with
I will say, you are good
Chorus
Bridge:
You weep with me x3
Chorus

Interesting song, well done, great dulcimer use. Usually the "answer" is, "what's the alternative", well, in my little world's experience.

I love the sound of the dulcimer! Also, what an encouraging song! Part of the life of faith is travelling through the valley of the shadow and being able to see the Light... this is great. LOVE it.

I don’t know if I’ve heard a dulcimer used with this more hard chording before and I like it a lot. The part that resonated with me the most was the “you weep with me” bit and I think you could add more repetitions and play with the vulnerability of the moment and the momentum back to the chorus.
