Continuing my sci-fi/space theme I thought I would look at technological advancements. Many people try to predict what the world might look like with varying degrees of success. (Back to the Future II, I'm looking at you! We were supposed to get Hoverboards in 2015!!! Whilst I'm here, Blade Runner is supposed to be set in 2019 and that was well off the mark!)
Anyway, one person who loved to predict the future was author Arthur C. Clarke, who famously co-wrote the classic sci-fi film 2001: A Space Odyssey. I found some interviews from the 60's of him talking about his ideas of computer technology, Artificial Intelligence and space exploration. You only have to look at HAL to see Arthur C. Clarke had a strong sense of how complex computer programming would become. The influence 2001: A Space Odyssey has had on the sci-fi genre is immense and most of the ideas came from Clarke.
The title comes from the TV show Tomorrow's World, which started in the 60s on BBC and looked at new developments in science and technology. I remember watching it as a kid and loving seeing what was on the horizon.
Check this out:
I tried to make the track uplifting, optimistic and not too complex. I think I achieved that goal.
On side note, I've now doubled the amount to tracks I completed in 2018 and it's not even halfway through February yet! Go me!
