But lyrics and song content belong to the fawmers who wrote them!
experimental hybrid cinematic film-music fawmtronica
There was an Imbolc prompt earlier this Fawm and I figured I'd give it a try.
I just imagined a cold winter night on Imbolc and a person sits alone by the fire and fiddles around with the violin while reflecting on events.
This is stunning! It evokes the same feelings that I get from my favorite fantasy game soundtrack, which is the perfect vibe for a song written for a pagan holy day.
I'm sort of listening to your stuff in a weird order, but it keeps improving 😀 I think this one and the one after it are my favorites, the violin soloing on this one is cool, emotive, just the right amount of movement.
The more I listen to your pieces, the more I wonder if you "see" and "feel" things while making music, like I do. I don't have synesthesia, but music conjures strong sensory perceptions in me. It seems to be a similar process with you, seeing how you render your inner landscapes into sounds.
The track is beautiful, cold and reflective, as the scene described in your liner notes.
Great soundscape. The violin really gives this song a lift from ponderous self-contemplation to epic questioning of purpose. Very philosophical - which the Druids who celebrated Imbolc would have appreciated!
See You In The Shadows…
Before the violin came in this had a kind of glorious sunrise feel about it, but the violin definitely has a night feel. Maybe the intro symbolises the sunset instead. Either way the pads underneath it all are beautiful and have a really natural feel to them.
