Feb 2019 songskirmish s021019a ukulele acoustic musetools
The skirmish title was "Liar". This one is not only inspired by that title, but also by something quite egregious I overheard today, as well as by Lyricloud and Struxxure, along with some help from Rhymezone.
See where you got us?
It's all your doing.
Representations
got you pursuing.
See where you got us?
It's falling apart,
though your false premises
were state of the art.
Twisting technicalities
misleading guarantees
a spreading disease
don't you know your abcs?
See where you got us?
You'd come out unscathed,
you thought, but this time
you're not gonna be saved.

I love it how you reveal an intricate fabric of deception without ever mentioning the actual issue! It can apply to so many situations.

Echoing others about the way you didn't flat out call someone a liar, I like that.
Killing them softly haha
I had to look up the tools you mentioned - those are neat! I should use them myself, as lyric writing is not a strong skill for me.
Your voice reminds me of those songstresses singing stories in castles, with a harp doing accomp...capturing the hearts of all the hardened and weary knights.

Yes nicely not said. Nice skirmish!

This somewhat ambiguous lyric is excellent for the prompt. You didn't say "liar" once but spelled it out clearly in your lyric. Good skirmish.

Cool...love the upward in the twisting technicalities line. Nice change up! The vocals are probably my favorite part of the track. Yeah, that pursuing line makes me think he is cheating. Well done!

Yes, I completely agree with how nicely things are implied in this and not directly; it's very clever. And I really like the chromatic climb that you do on the ukulele in the little instrumental; it's a really cool little break. Nice work!
@keithcuts Feb 2019
I like the implied liar without actually saying liar. The sweet ukulele talents lend a nice contrast to the angry lyrics 😀

Your song shows the pathos of people wanting and hoping to trust their leaders, and being disappointed when the leaders mislead them. Good observation: "though your false premises/were state of the art." We get fooled by shiny objects! Nice skirmish.

Hui, du machst Skirmishs mit? Ihr jungen Leute traut euch was, haha! Hab's vor Jahren mal probiert, aber mir ist das echt zu hektisch.
Obiges gelang dir also binnen eines Stündchens? Respekt! Hört man dem Stück nicht an!
