Getsemane(Jesus prays and his disciples sleeps)
Steps of comparison: the are sleepy, sleepier, sleepiest...
I used my brother's guitar riff- he is learning how to play and I said I'll use it for a FAWM zong.
I did not want the music too loud and noisy: just like breathing and part of the night noises(I used crickets)
Prayer in Gestemane
Intro: Peter, you three stay here
while I'm praying there
… I feel terrified
Stay here and watch with me
P1. "My Father if possible,
may this cup of suffering pass me by
Do not, however, do as I please, But as Your Lord wills.
Your will be done. "
Prechorus: But they sleep
They can't keep their eyes open
They are sleepy, sleepier, sleepiest
And fast asleep.
Choir: "Couldn't you just stay awake with me for one hour ?!
Watch and pray, lest you be tempted.
The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak
The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak
The spirit is willing,
But the flesh is weak. "
V2. “My Father if this cup of suffering
Not be able to pass by Me
Without drinking it
Lord Let your will be done
Your will be done. "
Prechorus:
Choir:
V3. My Father ...?
This cup of suffering ..?
Passing…? I drink…?
Let your will be done
Let ... what you want... happen.
Prechorus:
Choir: "Couldn't you just stay awake with me for one hour ?!
Watch and pray, lest you be tempted.
Why sleep and rest then?
Why sleep and rest then?
Why are you Sleeping and Resting
still?
Bridge: The hour has come
The Son of mankind
Is given in the hands
Surrendered to sinners
Koda: Get up!
Let's go
Look, the man who betrays me
He's close
Stand up!
Let's go
Look, the man who betrays me
He is near,
he's here.
Gebed in Gestemane

V2. “My Vader as hierdie lydensbeker
Nie by My kan verbygaan nie
Sonder dat ek dit drink nie
Here Laat u wil geskied
Laat u wil geskied.”

Kyk, die man wat my verraai
Hy is naby,
hy is hier.

I see the haunting beauty here has been mentioned already.
Very effective ostinato with superb vocals!
The cricket chirp? Intentional?
This is so well done.

What a voice you have! Nice, simple arrangement and I could listen to this song forever. Great, great job!

This music hauntingly beautiful foreshadowing what is to come - the guitar riff backdrop creates a solemn stillness with anticipation and is perfect. Your quiet low range vocal delivery starting with the spoken word and following a simple melody line is brilliant for this scene of the story of Easter. Your series is unfolding so beautifully as your music across the different scenes captures the transition from Jesus’ earthly to heavenly life beautifully. This series I hope will become a show.
