Many years ago during the convocation at my competitive college, one of the speakers said that we could do anything that we set our minds to do. I have always thought of this as my college curse, because I keep changing my mind about what I want it is I want to do "when I grow up."
I'm not sure I've really captured what I'm feeling, but it's time to move on to another song.
Once again, the Cordoba tenor, low G uke.
My college said I could do anything
Anything that I set my sights on
But I haven’t made that decision
And half of my life is gone
I think that I can learn anything
I’m always starting something new
But finishing at the top
Is something I cannot do
I need to struggle a little
Push a big rock up a hill
If you really want to get me going
Tell me I can’t and I will
Don’t tell me that I can do anything
Cuz I just can’t make up my mind
I want to do everything, everything
Everything all of the time
