I electrified this old Tanglewood resonator a few years ago. One of my guitar students, Peter, bought it from me. He was happy with it for a few months, then one of his grandkids knocked it over and did masses of damage. The head snapped off, the pickup mounts vapourised, and the resonator well cracked.
This morning saw it finally rebuilt and set up again. This short video was just something I hacked out (improvised) to send him to show him that it was living again.
It's running through my bass pedal board into my Dragondreams Thunderpump bass amp. Recorded on a Canon point'n'shoot.
Don't be too harsh on me. This was the first time I'd picked up a guitar in a week since having steroid injections in my hands!
The chords are simple, chosen because they're the ones Peter uses most, and I wanted to check that all was well with action and neck relief.
