A combination of circumstances that hit all at once.
1. I switched my platform to Linux this year. As such, I decided to keep the music simple since I expect to take extra time learning the new system.
2. I kept Hank Williams in mind as a model.
3. Found the Hank Williams in Hell challenge.
Talk about both serendipity and sychronicity! I've included the chords this time as proof that I've followed the rules of the challenge.
A A A A
Once I was a wandering child
E E E E
Who loved like children do
E E D E
Jealousy would make me wild
D E A A
Til I learned what others knew:
D D A A
Hearts must break so they can mend
A A E E
It leaves a mark on your soul
A E D D
You only fall to rise again
A E D A
It's the breaking that makes us whole.
Some day my child will come to me
As tears fall from her eyes
And I will bring back that memory
Of the wisdom in goodbyes.
