Elsa Hay on Banjo and Voice

Lyrics

A shag green carpet from when I was three
Holding my baby brother
Smiling on the couch
My mom and dad together
Happy as can be

Chorus: Memories from a picture
Corners frayed with wear
Memories from a picture
Hours I have stared

That 80’s haircut I thought was so cool
A colorful shirt I wore
My Janssens sport backpack
Maybe somethings are better lost
Gone with the times

Chorus

Now I take the pictures, baby grows fast
Starting to walk on her knees
Favorite stuffies
I will remember these times
Daughter the pictures

Chorus

Beautiful chorus and I certainly relate the 80s nostalgia verse.

Love that banjo! Lovely tune as well, very nice retrospective chorus.

First of all, I am totally digging the old time banjo! You had me right off the bat! I really like the chorus. Coupled with the banjo it elicited a real sense of yearning and melancholy. Nice job!
