As many of you know i am away. Therefore lyrics only
Too many old towns dying because old money dont want to change! These town will likely die before or with them?
This dying town
They say its all about old money
And the few who have it all
If you think you can change it
You’re just an idealistic Fool
They’ve held this town to ransom
Since forever and ever
And they wont loosen the strings
Today or likely never
It ain’t about community
They really couldn’t care
Its all about they’re wealth
Not about being fair
The place is slowly dying
Any initiative closed down
The businesses are struggling
.......In this dying town
They tell us they built this place
And watched as time went by
So what does it matter now
If they gonna let it die
But they are doing alright
Change is not for them
Even if for their grandchildren
The future they condemn
Don’t they know the plain truth
When all is said and done
What they can take when they go
Is just simply none
The place is really dying
Any initiative closed down
We are all now struggling
.......In this dying town

I look forward to hearing this one. Please keep me posted if you upload a demo.
As someone who spent 30 years of his life in a small town of 5000 souls, I can really identify with this. The town ain't dead yet, but I reckon it is not far off the tipping point.
PS Thanks for listening to my take on the Liar theme.

Great dark and melancholical feeling. Nicely structured. Good job

Love this topic, lots of my family came from towns that died. You tell it well. Possible collab?

Good topic for a song. I especially like "And watched as time went by." (and also -- though I'm not sure I'm clear on how -- "they held this town for ransom.)
