When you are walking down a dark road, and you reach a dead end... where there is no light. This is your Dark Shadow moment.
Another piano improvisation. I hope this is not cheating!
No Fear. Move forward. Its not too late. Its never too late.
This is lovely. Gorgeous piano playing. I could listen all day. 😀
Cheating? How so? This is really nice. Melodically there's obvious darkness but I sense hope too. Really lovely.
No fear, move forward, It's not too late...Glad I bumped into this as I go through personal changes at the moment. I should tattoo that to my head! Great playing here. I don't see how this is cheating.
Well played. I like the contrast between the sections and energy build
"Black Shadow", indeed! So beautifully dark. This would be right at home in a movie score.
Dark indeed, but not desperate. There's something comforting in this darkness. It's engulfing, soft and restful. Sometimes we just have to give in to the Black Shadow.
Very nice, and great playing for improvisation! I'd try some higher note "lead" here and there, to add some more detail 😀
Wow, this is a breathtaking improvisation. 👌🏼♥️ Love the heights it takes you as it flows.
That's really great... and very impressive. I can imagine movies to this - maybe black-and-white-ones. 😉 And you improvised this? Wow.
Yes very Dark Shadows 😀 I love piano playing. The melody here really takes me places. You are very, very good and I truly enjoyed this.
This creates such a lovely, melancholy mood. The dynamics are really compelling, and it's a nice journey; takes you places. Gorgeous.
If improv is cheating I’m fu#%^%ed. Most of what I compose is an accident I liked. Wish I could improv like this. Gorgeous flow here and the message is a great one.
I certainly do know these moments. I don't like them. I don't like the tension, the fumbling, the insecurity of not being able to see; at least at that time. However, your song has a tranquility and hope about it that makes the darkness a bit more easier to navigate. Nope, you're not cheating.
Beautiful piece, Roy! Drew me in and didn't let go. Lots of little subtleties that really round this out in an immersive way. Well done.
This is beautiful, just stunning. Love you take this in so many different directions while keeping it consistent. Thank you for sharing!
This is great. That diminished chord keeps catching me off guard in a really nice way. Just checked out your influences and I love Rattletree Marimba (Joel and co. played at my wedding <3) and Shannon Wright too! Looking forward to hearing more from you.
wow! i love the driving motion of this and the minor key aching quality in places. so many interesting chord progressions too. you are very talented!! thank you for sharing!
