Feb 2019 singer-songwriter pagan prayer devotion brigid imbolc
Here comes my annual Imbolc offering! It is especially dedicated to those who struggle at the moment, be it physically, emotionally or mentally. May you feel wrapped in love, blessed and held - and may you find kindness around you in the most unexpected places! And may Brigid protect us all, this year and always!
When you feel alone,
tired to the bone,
drowning in the swamp of daily strife,
look out on the land,
winter is about to end!
Find the little traces of new life!
May Brigid wrap you in her mantle
and keep you from the biting storm!
May Brigid's cloak enfold you,
may her arms protect and hold you always!
May your frozen heart grow warm ...
Rest and be restored,
feel your strength return,
feel the flames of Brigid's fire burn,
melt away your fear,
melt away your hurt and pain,
let your hope and courage rise again!
May Brigid wrap you in her mantle
and keep you from the biting storm!
May Brigid's cloak enfold you,
may her arms protect and hold you always!
May your frozen heart grow warm ...

Such a great sentiment and well written! The song is really sweet and well played. This is another one that would be great to listen to for an evening. It would feel like everyone got a hug or something. Well done!

What a surprise! I was expecting German, and heard English... but as always I heard crisp, melodious guitar accompanying your beautiful voice. And a little story I could identify with.. thank you for warming my heart with this song!
@janeg Feb 2019
Listeniing makes me feel wrapped in your kindness
@auditasum Feb 2019
Thank you for this.
@hummingbear Feb 2019
Beautiful, always complete musically and lyrically. (Just got through a week of the polar vortex in the North Central US. Timely message for us.)
@tageule Feb 2019
Ach. You've created a beautiful gem, again. And it does help. *hugs*

(For some reason the player isn't playing this on my Firefox, but that's okay as the download comes through). An English Karan! Sounds really good and I don't have to exercise my phrase-book German! And a lovely angle on St Brigid's Cloak. 1600 years... lovely melody and the guitar sings with you. Another Karan on my permanent file (you would be amazed how many and how far back they go!)

@nateger Feb 2019
Thank you for sharing this uplifting tune! The line "may your frozen heart grow warm" is lovely lyrically and the way the melody lifts is excellent. And I learned a bit about Brigid thanks to your song. Yay!
@tootoobee Feb 2019
Beautiful melody especially in the chorus 😀 the verses built nicely up to the chorus.
Ein Lied, dass einen sanft umarmt, danke dafür! Als ich heute draußen war hat es sich schon nicht mehr ganz wie Winter angefühlt.

Celebrating the beginning of spring on 1st February - those Gaelic people are optimists!

I needed this song today, it bleeds warmth and security, love the melody, light and warm, sweet vocal, I raced in here just because of the hook/subject...wonderful song!

Ah, yes... the goddess of spring and healing. I've been searching for her. For a moment, I thought I'd found her but then she went away... Maybe this song heralds her return? 😀 This was gorgeous, Karan, thank you.

Pagan festivals have all the most positive messages. Turn the changing of the natural world into a message for the heart. Great job!
