This one started out simply enough. Its working title at 7am today was "Reflections". I wanted to create an impression of listening to the piano player (imaginary) next door then my guitar joining in, a kind of "two lonely people in isolation together" duet...
Then it grew out of all recognition!
I blame the guitar! Frankie has been officially retired from FAWM. The beast you hear here is the guitar I built a decade ago (the last ever DD brand guitar) but only ever used for driving synths with a hex pickup. However, I took that pup off and fitted it to the other DD standard, the Schecter Omen VI. So this is really the first chance that the Dragondreams Black Diamond has had to show off her own voice. And boy did she revel in it!
The track title changed when I realised it was becoming one of those "trademark" DD kaleidoscopic journey tracks (and I haven't done one of these for a while). 😁
Meant to be played LOUD!
A zipped file of the audio stems from this track is here:
it's in Gminor and Eminor mainly at 130bpm 4/4
@cblack has done a great "more metal" remix here: https://fawm.org/songs/91431/
