Trying to get a quick follow-up to the first track so I don't succumb to falling in love with that song and not getting any farther along.
I recently followed a tutorial about drum grooves that focused on kick, snare and hi-hat to establish the beat and I'm trying to continue focusing on that practice this month.
While working on the verse drum groove the verse lyrics imposed upon me and I obliged, before I had any music recorded. And then, the chorus sorta shoved its way thru before I could go any farther. Don't ask me about brain butter and mouth-spreaders because that's all a weird surprise to me, too.
Music followed drums and vocals and so that could explain some of the tonal mismatches along the way.
Everywhere I wander, baby
everywhere I go
everywhere I wander
there's a watcher in the know
They're hanging from the leaves above
they're hanging from the trees
they're hanging from the leaves above
recording all they see
Peeking thru the shutters and they're
peeking thru the blinds
peeking thru the shutters
just to see what they can find
They're following your footsteps
and recording all they see
following your footsteps
then they post it on TV
They're trying to resurrect me
they're trying to pull me out
they're trying to resurrect me
turn my brains to butter
that they spread around their mouths
