But lyrics and song content belong to the fawmers who wrote them!
piano female vox singer-songwriter snow ice slow
First FAWM track of 2019. Experiments in A Minor (with melodic tones) and meditative playing and singing. Slow progress on the self by climbing up and down the metaphorical stairs.
@pipewrench67 thanks! Yeah, definitely interested in the slow unfolding of ideas in songs...opposite of pop chorus right up front I guess @haim glad it can help! I think I am starting to simply just write stuff that calms me and hope that it does the same for others.
Oh such a relaxing tune, I needed that in this crazy blessed month. Wow, your lower voice singing was incredible in 04:25, absolutely amazing, what a control over your voice. The song really relaxed me and the piano playing with the piano bass is super professional and good to hear. that was a 5 minute meditation for me, also no lyrics attached so I had to concentrate on your lyrics myself, that was good. (b.t.w, that's my 100th comment). You have a great fawm so far, waiting for you other tunes.
Love the way the shhhhh quietbecomes the hook.
@max thank you so much! that's really cool. @netnoise thanks for listening so close! @psyt got any house concerts your way? have guitar, will travel. @tunecat I was thinking Bjork too! She's one of my favorites, for sure.
Sometimes I pick up my guitar to play along to a FAWM song I'm listening to.
This is the first time ever I noticed my own breathing adapting to the song playing. Thank you so much for a whole new experience.
welcome back to the FAWM stuff! What a great song... plaintive... pondering... poignant. From one songwriter to another... maybe switch out miles for years... and the gift line is good... and an alternate might be something about bridging the rift? Love it... really really really great song.
Beautiful juxtaposition of melody over chords and lovely droning notes. Your breathing is an instrument unto itself. Very nice. Thank you for sharing this.
That was lovely, and I'd happily sit at a performance to listen to an hour or more of stuff like this if I was in your area.
Great start.. a bit Bjork, and lovely chords creating a fab ambient.. lovely key change into maj. The song starts... oooooh... very yeah... oozing with melancholic wintriness..
