But lyrics and song content belong to the fawmers who wrote them!
Every year I like to try and do something that gives the impression of beginning or moving forward, so here's that this year. I also got to try out some of my new sounds!
What a great use of the beat to build the mood. Nice work!
liked it a lot. the driving piano melody is just right. the ostinatos are great!
all your new sounds are very cold, familiar and a little bittersweet!
This is a really thoughtful and considered composition. I wasn’t expecting the fast beat to come in after reading “chill”. As introductions/opening numbers go this pretty much ticks all the boxes. Cool stuff.
This is great. I particularly like the rhythm in the second half - made me think a little of some of the drums on In Rainbows, which is awesome. I like the ambient synths and the panning worked well with them (unless my headphones are broken?) The keys sound super smooth too. Great job man.
This is dope dude. The backing synth is delicious and complimented the dirty pulse synth very well. I always like a pushed, slightly crazy beat. Nailed that. The whole track really took me on a journey. Well done.
I can listen to tunes like this all day! I love the way it builds and develops throughout. Great dynamics, engaging rhythm section. Yep. Ticks all my boxes. 😎
This is so wonderfully tasteful. From the first paralleled bass notes to the rolling snare. I definitely want to hear the rotators roaring on that organ though 🙂
The whole universe came to life in this track, brilliant!
If Frontier:Developments ever got their act together they would put this wonderfully galactic electro-symphony on the E:D soundtrack!
I love it! I really, really do. I'm amazed about the fact that you could produce such a wonderful track so quickly after the start of FAWM. Very impressive!
Your talent shines!
Thanks for sharing.
Lovely throughout. Thom Yorke should be singing. I keep expecting it as I listen.
I really really like the drum programming on this. Thats a lot more effort than I've ever put in.
this really enraptured me. from the start i was on board and interested and then it all hits and i was hooked.
That dirty pulse is delightful, really gels the whole track together nicely. The piano and ambient guitars (?) are pure post-rock. Wasn't expecting that beat at all, but enjoyed once i wrapped my head around it.
I'm seeing this maelstrom of stars and nebulas and the camera zooming and whooshing past them in breakneck speeds. A great start!
This is great! Love the feel and the single but awesome melody.
Wow. This was a terrific start to my day! Great pacing and changes in rhythms and feel. I agree with the train references in other comments, and this definitely feels like the opening credits/first scene of a movie I am anxious to see unfold.
That's funny, I wanted to do the opposite this time around. I felt like all my opening songs had too much in common, and wanted to break that mold, but you've got a lovely opening here. I didn't expect it to be uptempo, but it was a nice surprise when the drums came in. I liked the keys, and everything worked well together. I must agree with one of the previous comments that it's like staring out the window of a moving train.
Ooh cool panning effect going on in my speakers. Nice balanced mix. So very chill and ambient. Sets a movie scene! Good stuff and Jack DAW is a cool name for a producer!
When this started, my ears perked up a little! I promise you I thought of the 90s and said to myself “this is going to be similar to something The Prodigy might do” and I wasn’t wrong!
This chill kind of electronic music (chillwave) is such a wide open space and you filled it so gracefully! I couldn’t stop smiling because it gave me a kind of 90s nostalgia feel! The drum roll towards the end and atmospheric to fade out was great!
Don’t cut it abruptly at the end though! Let it fade out totally to finish that audio picturesque portrait that your epic instrumental is painting <3
My oh my, am I glad I have my studio monitors set up so I could get the effect of the stereo properly at the beginning.
Once it gets going, it kind of reminds me of 90s jungle music, where it was so busy, but managed to be calm anyway. It's like staring out the window on a train journey, watching the view pass so peacefully, but if you look down and closer to the train, it's all moving crazy fast.
yes! some really soothing progressions throughout - love the contrast with slow moving melodies and fast percussion. really sweet production - warm and smooth - some low end fuzz - bit of crunch when needed - nice!
This is super dreamy, without losing that sense of forward movement. Love it!
I'm a video game guy, so this makes me feel like I am watching a start screen for Mass Effect and I just am not bothering to "hit any key to continue." I really love when the drums kick in you get this double dose of energy with complete chill. It feels like I could use the music equally for meditation and contemplation, or for aerobic exercise. Very nice song.
Awesome! This is calm and energetic at the same time. Definitely get a sense of moving forward. I really like this!
I think the piano really sells this piece. It's kind of a counterpoint to the other elements, and works really well. Definitely drew me in.
Love that gritty pulsing arp. The piano has a lovely resonant sound to it, almost like mbira - sounds great. Really like the glitchy stuttering bit that comes in towards the end. Oh, and the drums are great. Brilliant start!
Mission accomplished! I feel motivated to get started. Excellent mix
Like a great first line of a novel, that initial vibration made me stop and listen, the clear feeling that something was coming.
The quiet beginning made the advent of the percussion a surprise, but not jarring or unpleasant, more "Oh, and what is this now?"
Yes, a beginning, opening, launch. The last 30 seconds gave me a vivid picture of looking up into a sunny blue sky, waiting for something to arrive.
Love the pulsating rhythm arp combined with the gentle piano...great drumpart....
