Those strings are fab. They add that lovely emotional layer, plus a kind of tragic feeling. I'm definitely a fan of the upward-climbing minor chord progression. I wish this song was longer!
The lack of beats in parts of this song add some nice variety and intensity. The strings sound sad and a bit ominous too. I can see this track going nicely in the middle of an album!
Love the strings. Combined with the gritty bits, it feels like stormtrooper opera. Great juxtaposition of tones. Well done.
Well to start, your title here reminds me of Madonna. You know, material world. Nice, somber feel for your digital world music. Appropriately epic sounding. It has a zen feel to it. With the steady feel underneath - balance. I like the crescendo - climbing mountain peaks, overcoming adversities. Very optimistic sounding music - good to hear! Go cellos! (at the end) 😉
There is a lot of great drama in arrangement of this song. I feel like it could be of a movie score, like some sort of epic battle or when the good guys are preparing for the battle.
I really like how the track builds as it goes and keeps ramping up the tension.
You and @caterwauler should start a business for TV/Film soundtrack work. Between the two of you, all bases are covered. I am envisioning the Terminator with this one.
Wow. So much tension in this intro, I love it.
From around 1:20, In can't help seeing images from Tron (Legacy). I love the visual aesthetics of this movie, and your song inspires me similar feelings. Darkness with artificial flashes and beams. Warmth inside what's supposed to be cold. And your title.
That intro synth! Love the orchestral work here as well. Sounds like an epic intro right before the climactic battle.
I love this so much. Eerie, but gets my blood pumping. The epic build at the 1:00 mark is super cool, and the strings at the end are a nice touch. If this isn't the theme song to a long lost John Carpenter movie, then I don't know what's going on.
well that got me walking faster tasteful use of strings and a really good length for a song nice work.
