Liner Notes

Very late to this skirmish. Hollow Harbor seems like a sketchy place. I couldn’t figure out how to end the song, I should’ve just ended it after the final words of the final verse. Oh well. Thanks for listening!

Lyrics

Hollow Harbor That’s the place that we first met Out of order Now we find ourselves in debt

Oh, words we know, words we say Oh, steer our boat into the bay

Hollow Harbor I hear you calling out our name It’s a murder Throw our love onto the flames

Oh, will we ever find our way Oh, steer our boat out of the bay

Hollow Harbor Don’t you know that it’s the end? If love is a martyr Will it rise up from the dead?

Oh…

Hollow Harbor Don’t you know that it’s the end? If love is a martyr Will it rise up from the dead?

Beautifully melancholic song, singing and playing. A lovely take on the prompt.

Love the groove on the guitar. Strong singing. Hollow harbor is a fantastic alliteration. Evocative lyric. It’s a murder…..

Strong guitar playing. Fresh chord changes; I particularly like the melody and changes for "Oh, words we know, words we say / Oh, steer our boat into the bay." I love specifics and "Hollow Harbor" has a great sound to it. "It's a murder" is a great, tough line. "If love is a martyr / Will it rise up from the dead?" is fabulous, and worth repeating.
