The man at the end of the world

Skirmish: Tell tall tales (@richardmasters)Liner Notes
Well this was a strange prompt and no mistake. I generated the words at the top and then tried to fit them into a tale...
Lyrics
(circle oranges day rainstorm canvas)
Somewhere near the arctic circle Lives an old man whose clothes used to sparkle Once he travelled in the king’s entourage Now he lives underground, near an abandoned station He represents every single nation Since the end of the world and the cosmic invasion
With only a handful of oranges to eat He’s sharp of wit and quick on his feat He lives for the day when he can venture outside On the day when the rainstorm has ceased He closes his eyes and imagines his canvas A world full of nature not humans

Quite an awesome story here! The somber delivery and feel to the song fit the situation perfectly. Yet I still here some hope swirling around near he bottom, trying to find sunlight. Nice skirmish!
I love the stories that have come out of this skirmish. I feel like this one could be the opening track of a concept album that follows this character and his adventures. Well done! Love the tremolo guitar, too. Nice work!
An aptly strange song for my strange prompt. I like strange and I like this song, very imaginative and captivating. I want to hear more about this world
Super Sci-Fi story in song. Though how he got oranges near the arctic circle is another story worth telling 😉
Love the creative story telling, it leaves me with so many questions... The bass and reverb are super satisfying listening on headphones. Reminds me of Skyway Man. Great work!
How odd we both went north! I really like this one!
Great sound from the jump. Then THAT voice comes in -- laconic and focused, grabbing attention. I love the "circle / sparkle" rhyme. I like how the "cosmic invasion" gets tossed in at the end of a line. "He lives for the day when he can venture outside / On the day when the rainstorm has ceased" again hints at some disaster without saying what -- an effective under-telling. The whole song is wonderfully strange.
