LEAVING

Liner Notes
This comes from ideas I had on a recent trip to Liverpool. The sun was setting as I walked past the city's Walton Prison. It's a quickly produced #acousticonetake that needs extra work, but I think it will be ok
Lyrics
In the wake of the westering sun I step away From that wide prison wall Ahead is a hazy wilderness Full of nothing at all But I know without looking behind My shadow is walking tall
Head hung low, eyes to the ground I'm moving so very, very slow You might believe that I am lost in grief And you would be wrong I wear a smile, not a frown And my shadow is walking tall
Worn down and out By the weight of existence The unbearable heaviness of being A wasp at a window pane Seeing the world and not the barrier To took time, Took a long long to figure it out
I could stop , I could change direction Don't have do the expected I am leaving it all, leaving it all I know without looking behind My shadow is walking tall I am leaving and it feels like freedom
I really like the concept behind this song- playing with the idea of walls and freedom. I also am enjoying the descriptive language about the physical movement. Nice work :)
