Lyrics

Are you gonna buy in
To the life they've sold you
Without much second thought
cause it's just what you were taught
That it's all it amounts to
And theres nothing more
That this is all that we're for
.
Mile stones are etched out
But there are parallel routes
School taught you had to choose
Even though you didnt know
What you'd really wanted to do, you
Studied something that was a chore
Now you're asking me 'what's it all for'
.
But they dont know
That health doesnt last forever
They don't ask
Why their moods change with the weather
Or why they spend all their free time
On tv or online
Just that they needed to recover
But why should work make you suffer
.
If you had just followed that dream
When you were eighteen
Life today
Would have more meaning
Everything else seems
Like its just lying
But there is still time to change the story that you weave
.
All I know
Is that I have to go
I have to trust You
.
My direction was vague
But I have found my way /
But you've shown me the way

A list of dissatisfactions with a positive ending. I especially liked "you studied something that was chore / now you're asking me 'what's it all for.' " It seems like most people hit that wall at some point.

There's a satisfactory response in one of the later lines, "there is still time to change the story that you weave." Nice ask/answer through the lyrics.
