I wrote this beginning of the month and was hoping to fully produce it, but time hasn't let me do that. So here is a quick acoustic demo just to get it out there.
Too-ra-loo, too-ra-lie, too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ra died
In the fire piled high for the witching.
As she burned she would say too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ra lay
Curse you all in fall of the witching.
Too-ra-loo, too-ra-lie, too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ra died
But her spirit carried high for the witching.
Forty years since she died every crop has since been dry
For at least a hundred miles of the witching.
Too-ra-loo, too-ra-lie, too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ra died
So did many more who tried to stop the witching.
Many starved or moved away from the curse ra-loo-ra laid
At the fire that fine day of the witching.
Too-ra-loo, too-ra-lie, too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ra died
In the fire piled high for the witching.
As she burned she would say too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ra lay
Curse you all in fall of the witching

This is great. Wasn't sure when I saw the 'Too-ra-loo, too-ra-lie' part of the lyric but it works really well in the context of the song. Big thumbs up on an Irish folk song from this Irish man. 😀

So good. Very well sung and, I like it this way, not over produced.
It has this very fine folk feel.

I love this kind of song. Compelling vocals, catchy music & melody, and a concise, well told story relating to a historical period too few people have real knowledge of.

I adore this! So catchy and love the story!

Wow. It amazes me how much storytelling you do within such a strict structure of some much repetition. This will be a great sing-along jam when we can do those things again!
