Northwest Passage

by @craigkierce

1 week

Liner Notes

This recording may need some work but I need to go to sleep something so will hear how it sounds in the morning. THis sng is loosely about Norwegian Explorer Roald Amundssn

Lyrics

i triangulate and protract away
every part of the map
every place i've been, everything i've seen
everything i had come to expect

you took the northwest passage home
in your airship all alone
sail away to parts unknown

i triangulate and try to find a way
to pull you back out of the map
but the ice is thick and the skies are grey
and you're not coming back.

Your voice is my new favorite on FAWM. Not nearly enough triangulation in song these days IMHO.

The temptation to describe this as steampunk is strong; it's the reference to the airship that did it. This is rather sweet. Even without further work, it's a keeper.
