One thing I have been trying to do during FAWM is to start writing songs on different instruments. I wrote this on a little half size guitar that I bought for about 6 quid, and fixed up for about 25; i.e., it is a piece of junk, but I love it. I suppose it is a tenor guitar, but the strings are for a guitarelle, so I call it the guitarelle. It is very sensitive, and so often makes sensitive little songs like this.
As the song is so simple (basic chord progression and melody is very plain), I would be very much open to collaboration, and having someone else perform the vocals on it, and totally changing the lyrics, as they were just thrown together.
You put the old logs on the fire
You put the pictures on the walls
You put the colour in your eyes
You finally believed its time
You're in Love
Its been so longs since you could say
Its been the dawning of your day
Its been about waiting for time
Its been the moment of your life
You're in love
