t9S0-B.P.d: Track 7
A rough, solo, scifi concept album based around a self-aware, malfunctioning android abandoned by her crew when they realize they are in danger of her.
Looks like it's the end for our protagonist.
...........or is it?
self destruct sequence will initiate in 60 seconds
all these human emotions are tearing me apart
I keep having these notions of a forced restart
shut down initiated
Love the way the voice glitches out as as the shutdown begins. The abrupt ending was a really nice touch. I'm also a big fan of the stuttering percussion and some of the little synth flourishes that reminded me of computer start-up/shut down chimes.
This is cool. The shutdown sequence ending with a goodbye. No long trailing notes or anything but just a shutdown like a machine in real life.
Another great track. The percussive mallet like sound is fab, but the thing I like the most is the way you have integrated all the sounds and effects so they work with the track, adding to the richness. Also liked the foray into an almost reggae like feel.
The electric beeps and what sound like almost screams give a good sensation of what you character is feeling, great use of the downer sound and whispered goodbye.
really great song. Love the metallic (almost DP) percussive part at the start, but it quickly goes into that amazing half time verse section. Such cool swaying synths. The back and forth with the faster metallic section works really well, as do those shutdowns - so cool. Another good one in this series. (and that emotional ending!)
I'm so in for this concept album if you release it properly! The vocals are super catchy and I love the bouncy beat that seems to float along. The synth chords have an almost reggae/dub feel to them, which adds a cool edge to the arrangement.
I really dig your concept album. Hope it comes to bandcamp later, these songs are so good! And this is definitely a great closing song for it.
sweet sound design. diggin it
