Hard work pays off in a fantastic collab.
Big thanks to all these guys.
Roddy on guitar @roddy
Marcello on bass @alboe
Rob on drums @guatecoop
Michael vocals/lyrics @jamkar
Super thanks to Rob for mixing video.
guatecoop: I do several challenges each year and this one was new. I really, really enjoyed doing this. @roddy started us off and the rest of us did our parts. Then, someone had to do the video, but no one had any experience doing video editing. I offered to do the mixing and then just decided to learn how to do the video editing. I used open shot and it was pretty easy once I got through the initial learning curve. Very fun working with these guys and I like the results a lot. I will do this again.
I never thought I'd be
In love with someone like you
you bring all those things
that are beautiful and true
and I mean everthing
Pre-chorus
I just gotta find a way
I just gotta find a way
Chorus
To give it back all that lovin
give it right back your kind of lovin
Share a love unspoken with you
Walking side by side
sharing what's there inside
or just sitting here engulfed
hanging onto to that vibe
will it be enough?
Chorus
With you

kudos for the video. Goodtime laidback feel, steady and gentle groove, goes with the introspective lyric. Wish I were a teenager again. Oops, not really, but...that's the feel here.

Great song guys. Love it. I agree with your liner notes - it is a "fantastic collab". Jamkar, love your gentle loving vocals and what great lyrics. Fabulous instrumentals roddy, alboe and guatecoop. Such a soothing and loving song! Had to listen twice. Kudos to all of you.

This is superb! Didn't expect that to work so well. You play in time, the instruments mix together so well! That song is so nice. You should do a record of it.

Can't go wrong with a bwaaat bwaat bwhuuut of a fretless. I hope it was as fun putting it together as it was listening to it.

What a wonderful idea, then so fully realized! Fun to watch, groovy to listen to. Well done all around - a delightful, soulful early morning listen.

Wonderful collaboration. Solid performances by all of you, but as a bassplayer I just love @alboe 's sound.
@vomvorton we also need this movie opening title page on https://fawm.org/songs/117338/ π just kidding, but it looks soo cool.

I commented on this on Roddyβs page too- just love hearing and seeing four of my favorite FAWMers playing such a cool song! Love this!
@coolparadiso Feb 22
On your recommendation. Woo what a line up! Tapping along to that catchy chorus! Well played guys!
@deli Feb 22
Oh this looks fun with all of you guys playing your instruments together in the squares! Great video! π
@stephenwordsmith Feb 21
I really dig the vibe here. This is absolutely pneumatic, the kind of track that could breathe life into someone on their zombie-est day.
A beautiful display of harmony and unity - you all contribute well and it comes together as a work of understated art - an unspoiled broth that doesn't betray the input of all its cooks.
Lyrically strong, too. Wasting no time in hitting us with telling us they mean the world, and that ain't just lip service.
@glasscrow Feb 21
I can't think of anything constructive to say, but this is really cool!
@standup Feb 21
I saw @jamkar's post on the "That ONE track" thread. This is the first of the collab videos I've watched. Love this. The bass -- great tone, great playing.
And I like the message, trying to rise to the occasion of the love you find yourself in.
Really great sounds, everything is working so perfectly.
@amelea Feb 21
Oooh! Great idea. The bass and guitar are so groovy together, and the vocal style sits well with the groove, and those drums add to it beautifully.
@zecoop Feb 21
Wow, that was so cool. Great song, great video. It just really came together so well. Every part is so good and it has such a classic sound.
Completely wonderful tune here, everyone - Cheers to all four of you!!
@eargoggle Feb 20
So cool, great playing from everyone, I love Alboe's fretless bass, that sounds great! Cool pre-chorus too, I like that
@dragondreams Feb 20
This is tremendous, guys. π
So good to see you all as well being able to hear you.
Top class!
@cynthiawolff Feb 20
Omg!!
This is so fantastic
Wish everyone was doing this zoom format..
So cool to be able to see my heroes at work
@brownium Feb 20
Great work guys!
@blindkiwi Feb 19
Really great to see you all performing. All around brilliant, smooth jazzy blues and great vocals. Love it!
@dzdandcunfsd Feb 18
Great job all around!!!! Really great lyric and vocal, and just great playing all around. Those and just wire brushes are my favorite "drumsticks" as well.
@siebass Feb 18
Enjoyed the movie opening title page; sweet fretless bass, the bold, with those AKG 701s. Dig the strat with light fingerpickin', the lilting smooth vocal floating over top; great hook, give it back that kind of loving, very catch hook. Light touch on the drums really glues it all together; I love those hot rods myself, they really play well.
@rockstarsmd Feb 18
Great job on the song, the production, and the presentation. Top shelf!
@jonmeta Feb 18
I want more of this! A catchy, swinging tune. Michael, I dig your phrasing and feel and expressiveness.

This is so good! Totally tight and smooth performance, feels like you've been performing together for years. Particularly love that melodic bassline, but everything's great here!
@elesimo Feb 18
Oh, this is SO good! I love it, and it's really nice to see fawmers playing "together". Great job everyone!
