Me and Technocolor Gramophone are at it again with another Lester's Wicked KISS song. We made two last 50/90 which you can find on his Bandcamp.
These are classic KISS style songs that I record the instrumental for and pass it to the ol' Lester One for him to do his thing.
I made a bonus video of me playing the solo which you can watch here. Ya, it's been months since I got a haircut.
On this song I based it off the KISS tracks All American Man, She's So European, I Stole Your Love, Ladies Room and Double Virgo's cover of Secretly Cruel (an 80's KISS song redone to be 70's style). The riffs can be hard to come up with but once I get going it's natural to channel Ace and Peter since KISS is my most important musical influence and my forever favorite band.
This was great fun, as always. The lyrics are very much 1970s tongue-in-cheek, so don't take offense. 'Twas wonderful to live out my youthful KISS fantasies!
When the limos and cover shoots are over
I get under the covers with my favorite lovers:
Donna and Heather and whoever's~
Willing to take me to heaven, cos after the show
I get hungry for some good old fashioned loving, you know
Rock and roll ladies - save me from going crazy
Rock and roll ladies - don't say maybe
rock and roll ladies - won't you be my baby? Tonight!
Let me tell ya: It gets lonely in the hotel
but not with Karen and Candy and Chantel
one night it's steak another fast food
But I don't mind - it's all good
Cos the rock and roll ladies, are takin' good care of me
It's a monster rock and roll blow out
so shout it out loud!
