lyrics by Steve O'Dell, a great songwriting buddy
melody by Pippa Letsky
There is nothing quite as fine as a scarf
To wrap around your face in times of cold
A warm friend to accompany you
And keep the bitter chill away
From the freezing ice and snow
There was a time when I didn’t believe
I wore short sleeves and didnt cover my knees
Wearing a hat would mess up my hair
But getting double pneumonia
Really made me care
There is nothing quite as fine as a scarf
Woven knitted warmth, a worthy friend
Wrapped around your face
On a cold winter day
Thank goodness for a wool and cotton blend
CODA:
There’s nothing so fine as a scarf (a scarf)
to wrap round your face when it’s cold (it’s cold)
a buddy to cover your nose (your nose)
to keep out the ice and the snow (the snow)

I like the humor and practicality in the lyrics. The melody is a nice jaunty tune. The coda is really cool and catchy

And I don't own a single one. But after these past few weeks, I'm a believer.
Loved the melody and vocal. I couldn't help but sing along with the end repeats on the coda.

I really love a good scarf. It's the one thing that really makes the difference between me being cold or warm. "Thank goodness for a wool and cotton blend" Amen! 😝 So fun. I like it!

You may well be right. I have about 7 scarves to my name and it doesn’t even get that cold here that often. Cute song.
