But lyrics and song content belong to the fawmers who wrote them!
I had to do a few takes cos I kept laughing.
At least I amuse myself.
I listened to your other dead Hank song, so of course I had to hear this one.
I can understand why you cracked yourself up. And I loved the polite applause at the end.
Ha ha ha ha ha! Brilliant.
I mean I had to click on the title with "zombie" and "Hank Williams" in the title. And I mean, I wasn't disappointed. How did you do this without just losing it? Hahahahahahaha.
Wow, this is great. What great live texture and lead up. And the punchline. BRAIIINSSSSSS. The applause! Killer. Really funny track
Well the title got me right off the bat. I'm sure this was as much fun making as it was to hear. My poor jowels and cheeks. Great.
Ha! now this is entertainment! what a funny and inspired idea, and really executed (pun intended) so well! great fun!
😆 😆 😆 Well done!!
As an old folkie, I love sing-alongs. It’ll be a while before those happen again - maybe I’ll have time enough to practice “Jambalaya” on my own until I can sing it without hearing Zombie Hank in my head. People would think I’d lost my mind if I started laughing in the middle of the sobng.
I was at the after gig party for that one, with Zombie Jimi Hendrix guesting singing "Purple Haze all in my ... Brains.. Brains.. Brains..."
Sr. would be proud. The crowd noise is such a brilliant touch. And love the song tags. I would love to hear just one yodeled "Bra-ins!" just for good measure.
Somehow, all of a sudden, the existence of this song popped up in my head again. So I paid this a revisit 😀
"It's zombie Hank Williams.Take it away, zombie Hank!". 😀
"Take it away, Zombie Hank!". The enthusiasm announcing Hank alone is worth a million. I can feel lots of doubt in the audience and there's a lot of discussion going on. Finally, they agree to have liked the performance. Which is priceless too, having that line of thinking in mind, which I allowed myself to have.
Brain Jambalaya is the tastiest, I hear, lol. This was so good - hilarious and perfect. I am glad you persevered!! 😀
I laughed so hard at this. I would pay money to see zombie Hank Williams any day.
This is hilarious and brilliant 😄
For some reason I was actually expecting to hear a coherent version of Jambalaya, but this makes much more sense! The crowd applauding without hesitation at the end made me laugh.
Easily the best thing since Tchaikovsky.
This is SO GOOD!!!
Made me spit out my tea! Thanks for making me laugh!
I get it. You see, jambalaya is a stew full of many aromatic spices and flavors. It combines ingredients and culinary practices of several cultures. Similarly, country music, despite Ken Burns' documentary, is not (as nothing can be) inherently American. And no art can truly be "living" when it owes so much to the generations that made it into what it is. The zombie is the lizard brain of the genre's original source material crying out to be freed from the shackles of the intellectualism of modern music criticism. As for Hank Williams...wait, what's that? Jambalaya is a rice dish. I must've been thinking of gumbo. Welp. Gotta admit that now I'm just flummoxed.
Thanks for bringing us Hank fans a lovely rarity like this!
That's the funniest thing I've heard in a long while.
🤣🤣 I don't think I've actually snorted in years, so thank you!
That ending applause killed me.
I need to read about this guy, I don't think you're giving me the truth.
I'm trying to think of something intelligent to say about this, but I guess I'm going to have to give up and just laugh like everyone else.
I didn't realise I needed this in my life, but now I can't live without it.
What. The. Hell. Man?!? This is why I dig you so much. Dude - I've got my head on my desk trying so hard not to laugh and wake folks up...but you've got me crying over here. I'm going to listen again...
There is something wrong with you Fuzzy. Please don't fix it. 😂
Oh gods, that was too much. ROTFL I think I bust a gut!
See You In The Shadows…
OK, so, this is the funniest damn thang I have heard since Heck was a pup. (Heck was the dawg that ate my brother!) I did not know what to expect but I loved that intro. And I loved to hear that crowd clapping. Then when ol' Zombie Hank got to "singin" well I damn near busted a gut laughin'! "Brains" indeed Zombie Hank. Brains indeed! So, Imma give this a 9 cause you cain't dance to it but other than that it is a 10 fer sure! You are one clever feller! Are you sure you ain't an opossum?
That was so funny....really got me laughing...
Hilarious idea and execution. Made me laugh as well! The clapping at the end was genius. Best version of this song I've heard ...
Very well done! Enjoyed the story and the song sung!
Got me laughing too! 😁 What a weird and funny idea.
That's so silly. LOL
