movietitlechallenge instrumental phrygian mode mode
Didn't watch the movie. Here is my take on the challenge. Thank you Catherine for your challenge. Thank you to everyone for sharing your thoughts and suggestions.
This is intense!
I haven't seen the movie either, but I really like this. It has a darkness and a weight to it.
I think it would also work for sci-fi movies.
Engaging and interesting. It has a tension to it that perhaps comes with the phrygian mode. Not sure because I haven't looked into the different qualities of the different modes. Listening to this has inspired me to write my next song in a mode. I've never done it before. I was thinking of trying the lydian mode, after watching Rick Beato's YouTube video on it. He makes it look so easy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLEyhW3f08k
I really like your take on the movie title "Apt Pupil" I don't know the movie, but from listening to your piece, I'm guessing this particular student is an intense individual. 😀
Really nice cinematic feel to this, there is a dark tone to it that works well given the movie that it's inspired by but it's also very beautiful. This is a fantastic piece of work, thank you for playing!
So much mystery in this one, and suspense. I like the minor key and the energy that comes through. Beautiful song, Nadia!
You picked an awesome scale for the melody! I wish I were better at theory, because I would be all over analyzing this. The synth that you chose works great with the delay. It would be a cool option to see this fleshed out with a beat and some bass synth.
