I had a dream last night and woke up and wrote this.
I'm pretty happy with it, but there's some interference on the vocal track. Sounds coming through the radio via electricals. I tried to cover it up with that satellite sound.
I'll probably re-record it later, or at least process it a bit more to lessen it.
I left off the last word, since that would give it away. You have to listen to it.
There it was, something I thought I’d never see
To this day, it’s still haunting me
There, under the ground, above thee
Falling like rain, some evil infinity
I heard a noise, the likes of days gone bad
A fiery chasm across my skin, crawling like maggots glad
The dream, a vision turning left
Broad, the nightmare inside me wept
I called my brother over to help
Showed him the cliff near, living hell
It began to fall, I could not see
Soil and flesh, virile earth thrust upon me
The noise un-calculable, covering me now
Distant blue sky memories would not allow
Then, it was clear, what was going on
Could this really be? A horror dawns
I couldn’t take it anymore. Would I find a way out? Some hidden door?
On my vessel, I could feel, time paused me like an orange peel
The guilt of what I’d done. This borrowed lesson gone, burned into the sun
And then I knew what it was for real
A tiny thing appeared before me, revelation revealed
It came in waves, frightener attacking
My will struggled, unstable chattering
And now it’s time to tell you what it was
Writhing all over, even airborne!
