"Have you noticed, Stil, how drab the young women are this year?" (apologies to Frank Herbert) And the young men. And the older folk. And the world.

FADE TO BEIGE

The colours from the old world
They've gone, they fade to beige
Or grey, off-white or charcoal
A mirror of our age.
I pine for peacock pleasures,
The colours rich and bold
The rainbow jewels that sparkled
Before the world turned cold.
Might as well be colorblind
There's no point left in rage
The colour's drained out of our world
And our lives fade to beige
