My grandfather wrote a little poem in 1946, probably in his hometown, a small farm town called Continental, OH. My mom sent this poem to me on what would have been his 100th birthday this week.
Written in February, so it's totally a FAWM song! I tried to set it to music that he may have maybe appreciated. He was a jazz musician, but didn't like that modern jazz stuff too much.
Floyd Groff wrote the lyric. I did the music concept, but Nancy Rost arranged the piano part and played it.
