Context of the Album:
You woke up, started the day, went for a ride, looked at a canyon, thought about a world without people, listened to music, went back home to clean your room and looked outside the window to see a storm was coming up, which was then coming down over your house. After the storm you sat by the window and watched the rain disappear with a cup of tea. After that you had a sudden burst of energy and danced through the house. After that you listened to the news and your feelings shifted by 180°.
So this song is more or less work in progress, because I don't know if I'll finish it or start from scratch.
The basic idea was that after all the events of the day, packaged into the previous twelve songs, now the evolving part of you (the protagonist of the story) takes part. You begin to think what it is that moves you, and I saw it as a torch, as a fire burning deep inside you that lights the way to your desires and dreams, the kind of things that you really like to do. And in the first half of the song you feel kind of lost, you ask yourself where your light has gone. But then the buildup takes place and the igniting match marks the point where you ignited a new torch and can clearly see what's in front of you, the path you need to take and the desires you want to fulfill. That's the part that was planned when the match is ignited, but I did not get around to actually writing the music to it.
If anyone likes the idea I'd be glad to see what you can come up with.
The song is in C Minor, the chords are:
Gm - G# - Cm - Bbm
Just let me know if anyone continues the work on it.
