I'm out of time for FAWM this year,,, between getting ready for some church music this past weekend and having a little gig next Saturday...
Here's a song that I started in December (so it's definitely a cheater for FAWM!), but I just can't stop fussing with the words... I suspect I just don't know the underlying message of the song yet...
I'll post one more "cheater" like this (a recent song still under construction but not really FAWM), and also try to make time to listen to some of the great new stuff that you all have been posting in the past week or so!
Amanda, Brook & Little Joe
(c) 2020 Brian Junker
Amanda, Brook and Little Joe went flying
To see her sister's wedding by the sea
They got their luggage stacked up on the sidewalk
And while they wait Amanda talks to me
Such a long journey
All to see family
And wasn't her sister a lovely bride
Amanda studies nursing in the evening
Brook he wires new houses in the town
Little Joe is flying round the luggage
Circling till the tower calls him down
Such a nice game play
Racing around that way
Watching that boy make everyone smile
And we're all flying through the decades
Wings rise up on eager plans
Destinations in the winds of change
Never knowing how we're gonna land
Soon Little Joe will have a baby sister
And on the money Brook makes they'll get by
But for their hopes & dreams about the future
The nursing pay would keep the faith alive
Such a nice evening
Who knows what the future brings?
Good to be back on earth tonight....
Amanda, Brook and Little Joe went flying...
