This was something I did on a loop pedal a few nights back, but lacking any good lyrics, it sat for a while.
It’s one of those odd songs that’s built around a very small snippet of an idea/emotion.
In this case it’s the idea that “playing it safe” through life often just means that when you DO decide you need to do the thing, it’s that much harder. (Although usually possible. My grandma started traveling quite late in life and she quickly became one of the most well traveled people I’ve met)
The other idea was like... those weird school or friend group reunions that happen here and there where a lot of people are hung up on their memories of what they used to be like even though it’s five, ten, or more years later
