Hello all! So happy to join, and I can't wait to get started! Just out of curiosity, are instrumental artists encouraged to participate in FAWM? I would love to try to do this, but I don't want to contribute it it's against the spirit of the group. 😀 Thanks for reading!

Instrumental music has always had a place here in previous years. If you are also interested in collaborating with lyricists, you may be awarded a place among the saints. 😀

Okay good! Phew! I was afraid that I was going to be the black sheep again!!! 😁

  • @tesla3090  Jan 5

Yeah, there are lots of us primarily or only instrumental musicians here!

  • @cts  Jan 5

Yup! Bring your contributions to the table...we shall dine with you!

  • @sunnymae  Jan 5

Welcome to the bunch of us Black Sheep!

Wow, Thank you all for such warm welcomes! This was so kind! I am really excited to start all of this! I am a string specialist out of Nashville TN, and my background is kinda a hodge podge of Bluegrass, Classical, Jazz, and other String Stuff so I am excited to kinda have a place with some creative pressure and accountability! 😀

  • @leah0k  Jan 6

Wow that sounds delightful. I love a good bluegrass song and a happy fiddle jig! I’ll have to keep my eye out for your music. Welcome, @violinfiddleman !

  • @ptr Jan 6

My music has no vocals and I get involved even though I have no expectation to hit the 14 song target, and I don't even remember the last time I made an album. I love this place for its genuine and constructive feedback from a great community.

  • @johnstaples  Jan 6

Welcome to FAWM @violinfiddleman ! As others have said...YES! Your instrumentals are very welcome here! This is the most wonderful place I have ever found on the web. Tons of friendly, helpful, kind people who love to write music! Looking forward to hearing what you bring to FAWM!

  • @dreamscuba  Jan 7

Bring on the instrumental work...I am to mostly do post metal instrumental demos for FAWM this year.

  • @radioovermoscow Jan 7

There are some of us here who mostly do 'normal' songs, but who have voices that suggest we should probably stick to instrumentals.

  • @coolparadiso  Jan 7

Welcome to FAWM @violinfiddleman yup sure is!

  • @pipewrench67  Jan 7

  • @apertome  Jan 8

Absolutely, I mostly make instrumental music, and I've done FAWM several times. It's always a fun, creative, and highly productive time for me. Hoep you enjoy it!

By the way I also play violin, among other things. Last year I did a viola-based album. Not sure yet wht I'm doing this year.

  • @gubna Jan 11

A lot of what I've done the last two years has been instrumental. I have thrown in my fair share of lyric songs, and some spoken word. Even last year I threw the "vocals" over to the computer to "sing" on a track. It was of course about A.I. I'm planning to continue to make my weird style of music, mixing it up as I go. Excited to be back for my third year!

  • @krayzie003 Jan 14

I'll probably be doing all instrumental with sync licensing in mind.

  • @aeye Jan 14

Definitely! We are 99.99999999999999% instrumental ( except one track last year where we had a guest vocalist )

  • @zecoop  Jan 15

Oh yeah, for sure - Can't wait to hear what you come up with @violinfiddleman... I make a ton of instrumental music in all kinds of styles. It's a free-for-all around here and pretty much anything goes!! 😀
