    Nice tracks! I've got NT on one of my acoustics. She's on the guitar rack, just waiting for her time to shine.

  • @ustaknow Feb 11

    @regis Thank you!

    And, yes, for me, that's the way to do it, dedicated instrument. I've got a bunch of folks/friends/associates always looking for that gentle, clean, chime-y sound for live solo vocals and they forget about the NT setup. To me, alone or with a 12-string, live w/solo vocal - for that kind of song, it's all one needs.

    Can't have to many guitars, I say... so, why not NT one too! πŸ˜€ hahhh.

  • @bangstick  Feb 12

    I layered a Nashville strung on a track today. You're referring to the high strings from a 12 string set? Or am I thinking of something different?

  • @ustaknow Feb 12

    Hey @bangstick - yes.

    However, it is a commitment πŸ˜€ and I looked into what specific guages would work for me.

    - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nashville_tuning_(high_strung) is the default deff?

    On my "Grassame'tar" πŸ˜€ hahhh, what I call it, (Banjitar), I used special stainless steels.

    Folks get tricky and labor splitting the channels with that NT and Standard and 12-string Acoustic.

    Why don't you post the FAWM song link here too in your post above πŸ˜€

  • @regis  Feb 15

    Broke out the NT guitar for some layering on "San Juan Sling" - https://fawm.org/songs/118329/

  • @ustaknow Feb 15

    @regis - great track.

  • @guatecoop  Feb 15

    Yup! I have an acoustic and an electric in Nashville tuning. Love them. I sometimes use just those alone for backing and complimentary textures. Sometimes I even noodle around to write on one. πŸ‘πŸ‘

    "Friend Oh Friend"

    NT but with 12-String

    I was trying to get away from the "template" demo for 1+1 so, while OCD 'd Bass in, πŸ˜€ little bit, - didn't do the guitar noodle thing or more me-backing vox's.

    Hahhh, maybe my "Saw" can slip in a accent harmony note... well, anyway, derUgo πŸ˜€

    Added some flavor with the NT on a song about my dog: https://fawm.org/songs/122114/

    *regis Great work! Well voiced for that track too.

    Yes, dogs rule πŸ˜€ and a chihuahua-lab mix, wow, that was painful or barely noticed when birthed. πŸ˜€ Was the litter all like that or mixed?

    Anyway, hahhh, I can imagine (past dogs), the labs I knew with another breeds personality. Or vise versa.

  • @regis  8 weeks

    @ustaknow That’s a pretty common reaction. Luna was a rescue, so your guess is as good as mine!

    She’s definitely got a mix of the stereotypical lab and chihuahua personalities. Very protective of the kids and likes to play fetch like a lab; has some little dog personality (luckily more of a bark than a yap) and is super snuggly like a chihuahua
