Uploaded my file twice so far but it's not appearing in the list. I've previously uploaded picture files succesfully, could the problem be because i'm trying to upload a wav?

  • @helenseviltwin  Feb 1

It might be. Might be worth trying an mp3.

  • @spikedirection  Feb 1

Yeah I will do, had to give up and leave PC for a while but I'll report back

  • @reklov  Feb 9

Now my upload went wrong, too:
    "ERROR: Cannot upload".
    What's up? I tried to upload a 16MB mp3 file.

  • @petemurphy  Feb 10

I'm having the same issue as @reklov with a 13mb file.
Is there a file size limit?

  • @petemurphy  Feb 10

I just re-converted the file at a lower bit rate, and managed to upload it.
It came out at 8mb, so I'm guessing the file size limit might be 10mb.

It seems to me that there is a 10MB file size limit on the FAWM hosting, but @burrsettles or @ericdistad would know better.

  • @ericdistad  Feb 10

@metalfoot is correct - the file size limit is currently 10MB. It is something we can review if needed.

Aha! And this is why the search engine was invented. Why would my file not upload? This thread 'splained. So I changed my default Logic bounce from 320 kbps to 192 and all was good. Thank you.

How about just an informative error message instead "Upload limit is 10 MB. Try saving your mp3 with lower bit rate" or such? Will be cheaper than paying for more storage and will crowdsource the fix.
