Artist Bio

Influences:   The Script, Tristan Prettyman, P!nk, Kelly Clarkson, and a wide range of folk singers for their honest lyrics and social commentary; Beethoven for the passion in the music. My tastes range from Bob Marley to Benny Goodman, from Black-Eyed Peas to bar songs. There is beauty in it all!

Sassy and honest, with a biting sarcasm. I have a few serious neurological conditions (pain and muscle function; they do impair speech at times) I've been dealing with and music has been great therapy for the body and soul. I love the creative challenge of FAWM, and the inevitable release and growth that comes with it. This is fun for me - nothing more. I don't care about commercial viability or song length or even if something is "good" or not. I'll likely bust my own zongs, too.

SONGS ARE COMING!! IT'S JUST A SLOW START!! It has been a rough year. Both my primary and secondary income sources were shut down due to CoVID, so there has been a lot of pivoting and adapting. No idea what I will be able to accomplish this year. I still only have my iPod for recording and can't proficiently play any of the 4 instruments I own and feel zeeeeeeroooooo guilt about this. My focus is on lyrics and communicating the musical idea in my head, not production quality.

All that being said, I can't wait to challenge myself and be inspired by my fellow FAWMers. Let's do this!

    Thanks the 3 #tit4tats earlier.
If I live long enough maybe the 80s will come back into fashion and I'll get phenomenally, excruciatingly, wealthy from my music LOL. ๐Ÿ˜€

Thanks Rayna! Yes, I just signed up for 50/90, but I'm going to take it really easy. I figure if I write 10 songs over 90 days I'll be quite happy. It will be just nice to bask in the glow of this supportive community some more.

  • @humblecomposer Mar 3

For sure! Hope youโ€™re staying healthy and happy. when youโ€™re ready to connect.

Thanks for your comments on "I Can't Bear the Taste of Possum." What are friends for? Hey, that hawk doesn't seem too friendly! Did you get out of there with all your feathers intact? Oh, those are _hawk_ feathers you're wearing? Well done, apex predator!

  • @zecoop  Mar 2

NOT THE ROSEMARY!!!!! Make them PAY!!

  • @fuzzy  Mar 1

Just took a quick look at the "Blue Avians" thing.
    Truly bizarre.
Apparently Anderson Cooper is a robot who eats babies....?

  • @fuzzy  Mar 1

Thanx for your comment on our "Wake Up Sheeple!!" song.
    Blue chickens from outer space??
I've not heard of that one.
I'll have to check it out; I might get a song out of it! ๐Ÿ˜€

vivalarayna - I'm touched that you feel I was empathic. I'm afraid I hadn't been. Shannon and I had a complicated relationship, and sadly, I was one of the people who thought she was weak. Writing this song really opened up my eyes, heart and mind. I almost wonder if she didn't send me that melody, and help me with the lyrics. I don't know if I would have come to it on my own. <3

  • @shelleroo1  Feb 27

Thank you so much for your comment on "Why Does it Have to Be This Way". It's kind of amazing that you found it, when you have neurological conditions yourself. Or maybe not. I'm realizing some pretty trippy stuff can happen with songwriting. I hope things get better for you.

  • @erbaer  Feb 27

Thank you for the kind words.

  • @blindkiwi  Feb 27

I hear you. And I understand toxic workplaces too well.

  • @zecoop  Feb 27

Ahem, I have *heard* things as well. I mostly hear about it when it contains massive amounts of chocolate and fudge and brownie pieces. At least that's what i WOULD hear, if I were to hear about it someday. I hear. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • @garlajoie  Feb 21

Hey there, just read your comment on Mikeskliar's tune about the FAWM-song-stealing Fallon... It broke my heart to read about your experience with a distant relative sharing your personal works. A couple of years ago, I had an ex create an account just to hear the songs I had written very fresh after our breakup, and I've never felt so violated. It felt like this beautiful, sacred place had been taken away. It really kicked me to the curb for a couple of days. The funny part is, all I wanted to do was write and share a "screw you!" song in response! I hope you've found some peace since then, and have been able to enjoy FAWM for the wonderful, creative, supportive place that it is. Cheers!

  • @lizbrinker  Feb 18

@vivalarayna you win the prize! You are the only one to notice the simile to metaphor line in Bliss, Nothing But Bliss. Thanks for listening!

  • @zecoop  Feb 18

Feel free to connect on my ZeCoop FB or by e-mail. I hope you are well. I have a chronic condition as well, but luckily no major effects. These things are hard when times are good, let alone with all the covid stuff. I really enjoyed all the lyrics I read and will get to more. You have a great sense of the art of putting them together (at least in a way I really like). If nothing more, I certainly hope to see you here next year! You've been on my watchlist all this year. ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @zecoop  Feb 18

But seriously... I'll have the option to... WHAT? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Dying.... just dying.... How am I supposed to write songs in this state?!?!! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  • @blindkiwi  Feb 15

Thanks for the comments on Karens. I should have added the disclaimer that the 'D' word is unfortunately also one of my given names ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @resonut123 Feb 14

Thanks for the nice comments on my songs!

  • @gslade Feb 14

    Best comment ever

  • @mikeskliar  Feb 13

  • @serene123  Feb 13

Hi!! Thanks for commenting on my toilet window song!! I'm glad you found this relatable! Good to have a laugh in these uncertain times. Hope this message finds you well and I will check out your songs now!

  • @radioovermoscow Feb 13

Thanks! Yeah, I tend to mix vocals low. I'm not the world's best singer, and I love '90s Smashing Pumpkins... and demo-quality vocal takes, you know? Glad you liked it ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @prsongsmith  Feb 12

Thanks for taking the time to listen to "Cascadia Subduction"! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Next year I might have to do a concept album that name drops all the major plates...๐Ÿคฃ

  • @themelgoexperience  Feb 12

Thanks! 'Light treason' is an Arrested Development joke ๐Ÿ˜€

  • @hmorg  Feb 8

Thanks for the comment! I do so enjoy a good juxtaposition, I'm glad it's effective.

  • @blv3 Feb 7

Thanks for stopping by my page and encouraging me. Sorry to hear of your suffering and inspired by your love of life and music. Love your list of influences. If ya need/want someone to preform / record some of your work I'd be game to give it a try for you. Blessed Be!

  • @mrgee1952  Feb 5

Iโ€™m glad you enjoyed Chains. I love the blues and I just write what comes to me. Sometimes I think I channel the thoughts and creativity of long gone blues musicians.
