This will be my 16th year. Class of 2006.
I have another full winter in the Southwest. So, I plan to try both kinds of music: Country AND Western. probably leaning toward Western. with an occasional dip into Folky punk- or as I call it Funky Western .. or as my friends call it "crappy"

Thanks for taking a listen to those final few songs of mine. It was a strange FAWM of mostly sitting it out, but I'm glad I got a some songs out of it in the end. You had a such a good FAWM. Really great batch of songs. Ever think about doing anything with them post-FAWM?

  • @toddnorem  Feb 13

Hey Tim....thanks for the encouragement. Maybe it was the push I needed. Like Joe I am putting out a new record (EP) this month and have been so focused on music that I thought it would be nice to turn my attention to other things. But FAWM calls. You're having a killer one. So many of the Minnesota original peeps have shied away from doing this in recent years, which is a bummer. I just posted a song, so I guess I'm back in the game again. From snowy (!!) Seattle. So it's kind of like Minneapolis.

Hey t-spoon, nice to see you back, ready to write some songs, congrats on your 16th FAWM, that's a lot of songs, both country and western. Can you believe we never got to meet up in 2020? Let's hope to see each other in 2021. Have a great FAWM 2021!

I am hopelessly devoted to you, and will express my feelings in song despite threats from O N J et al. I will not be harnessed or shackled.

Yeah, I never planned on making this many moves. I like to think of Vegas as just a blip. Was in SF/Oakland for a combined 5 1/2 years. But yeah, met someone special up here and could work from anywhere, friends here as well, Covid, etc. It made sense. Still not easy to uproot a life. And I miss the sunshine big time. I'll be curious to see what a full Arizona FAWM month looks like for you. At least no treacherous trips back home in the middle of the month this time.

  • @toddnorem  Feb 1

Good to see that you're embracing the two kinds of music. That made me laugh. Glad you're back. 16th FAWM!! Crazy. I'm at 14. Started in 2005 but skipped a couple of years.

I have some new surrounding too. I'm in Seattle. So maybe things will sound a little more grungy. Or I'll write about "the best computers and coffee and smack" as Robyn Hitchcock says.

Looking forward to hear what you come up with as always.

2021 can HAVE their songs back. I just have to quick wash the 2020 off of them.

I understand you have left the northern climes for Arizona. Was it something I said? I mean, you could have stopped in Iowa and I would have gotten the point. Same thing with @ericdistad. Do let me know how I can make amends, and have a spectacular FAWM!

TSpoon! Great to see you back! I hope AZ is treating you well!

I'm looking forward to hearing new tunes from you!

    Have a great FAWM!

P.S. For the file hosting thing, it should be the same as last year. Feel free to email me if you have questions, but generally if you do the $25 donation to the site, the rest should just get setup pretty quickly.
